Fall Youth Program
Highwater Farm provides paid positions for young people who have completed the Summer Youth Program and want to continue work in the fall. Youth Interns expand their agricultural knowledge, gain leadership skills, and help build community. Find out more about the position below.
YOUTH INTERN POSITION DETAILS
Structure and Tasks:
Late August-Early November (11 weeks)
Friday & Saturday
Grow and sell fresh produce
Lead volunteer groups
Make presentations in school
Participate in community events
Requirements:
Age 14-17
Must have completed the Summer Youth Program
Able to commit to the entire 11-week session
Willing to work hard and challenge yourself
Work Expectations:
Show up to work on time, every day
Be prepared, respectful, and positive
Work hard and participate in all program activities
Communicate openly and honestly with staff and peers
Compensation:
Job training, education, and work experience
Bi-Weekly Stipend
Fresh produce on designated days

This is a unique & challenging work opportunity that offers many experiences that other jobs cannot. Participants who are fully committed will benefit the most from the program, for this reason Youth Interns must be present for the entirety of program.
